A layout that works
Good lighting is about placement as much as fixtures. We plan spacing so light is even across the room, avoid glare over seating and work areas, and group lights into sensible zones so you aren’t lighting the whole floor to read a book.
Adding pot lights to an existing home
Most finished ceilings can take slim LED pot lights with small access holes and careful fishing of wires, so there’s little drywall repair. We check joist direction, insulation and what’s above before cutting.
Colour temperature and dimming
Many LED pot lights let you choose the colour temperature, from warm 2700K to cool 5000K. We match fixtures to compatible dimmers so they dim smoothly without flicker or buzzing.
Common questions
How many pot lights does a room need?
It depends on ceiling height, room size and use. We lay it out for even coverage and give you the count in the quote.
Can pot lights go into an insulated ceiling?
Yes, with IC-rated fixtures designed for contact with insulation. Slim LED wafers are commonly used for this.
Will you patch the drywall?
Retrofit pot lights usually need only small access holes. We keep openings to a minimum and can arrange patching and painting where needed.
