Plan it before drywall
The neatest systems are wired while walls and ceilings are open. During a new build or renovation, we run speaker wire, HDMI and network cable alongside the electrical rough-in, so the finished room has nothing but speaker grilles on the ceiling.
Common questions
Can you add ceiling speakers to a finished home?
Often, yes. We fish wire through ceilings and walls and keep openings small; access depends on framing and insulation.
Do I need a receiver or amplifier?
Passive in-ceiling speakers need an amplifier or receiver. Some systems, such as Sonos, use compact amplifiers per zone. We recommend what suits your setup.
Can I control the music from my phone?
Yes. Most multi-room systems are controlled from an app, and many also work with voice assistants and smart home keypads.
