When an inspection helps
- Buying an older home, or one with visible DIY electrical work.
- Your insurer is asking about the panel, wiring type or age of the system.
- Before a renovation, to know what you’re starting with.
- Recurring problems such as tripping breakers, warm outlets or flickering lights.
What we check
- Service, panel and breakers: condition, capacity, labelling and known problem brands.
- Wiring type and condition, including older wiring that may need attention.
- Grounding and bonding, GFCI and AFCI protection, and outlet polarity.
- Smoke and CO alarms, exterior and garage power, and visible DIY work.

Common questions
How long does an inspection take?
Most homes take a few hours, depending on size and how accessible the panel and wiring are.
Is this the same as a City inspection?
No. City inspections check permitted work. Our safety inspection is an assessment of the whole system for you, your buyer or your insurer.
Can you fix what you find?
Yes, if you’d like us to. We quote repairs separately.
